PJ Night - February 2019

Can you do sewing dinner, laughter and dessert? YES! In this fun relaxed class you work on your own project with Laura and the gang. Wear your slippers and sew until bedtime!

Staycation with Laura - March 2019

Instructor: Laura Nownes

Relax, sew, start a new project, finish a gift, have lunch, dessert, drinks, fun, friends... and fabric bliss. What could be better than a quilting weekend at Wooden Gate Quilts with Laura Nownes? Sew, eat, leave everything overnight, sleep in your own bed, comeback refreshed and ready to sew again! Don't have a work in progress? Laura will have fun project options.

Singer Featherweight Maintenance Class - June 2019

Instructor: Dave Trebotich

Need to learn to maintain your Featherweight? Thinking about buying a Featherweight and have questions? This is the class for you!

Dave Trebotich and his family of Twice Nice Shoppe have over 40 years of experience in vintage sewing machine restorations, sales, service, parts, and maintenance/repair classes. Singer Featherweights are their favorite.

In this four hour class you will learn how to inspect, adjust, and lubricate your machine. You will learn how to handle thread jams, and learn about attachment parts that are available for your model. You will also have an opportunity to purchase direct from Twice Nice Shoppe any replacement parts and accessories you feel you must have.

This fun bag class is being taught by the pattern designer herself, Betsy LaHonta. Hear her tips and tricks for working with Kraft-Tex and learn her techniques for fabulous bag making!

Modern Hand Stitching - February-April
2019 (5 Sessions)

Instructor: Kelly Thorsen

Enjoy the confidence of knowing basic stitches and let your stitching spirit play to your heart's content under the tutelage of staff member Kelly Thorsen. She will follow the book Modern Hand Stitching, by Ruth Chandler as she guides you through the process of creating your own stitch sampler book.

  • Directions for more than 35 different stitches, all arranged by how they're made

  • A gallery of stitchwork for inspiration to practice, play, and create

  • Step-by-step instructions and full color illustrations

  • Dozens of variations on straight stitches, building stitches, cross stitches, knots, chain stitches, and more

Modern Hand Stitching features six stitch chapters with dozens of variations on straight stitches, building stitches, cross stitches, chain stitches, knots, couching, wrapping, and making a stitch sampler, plus a gallery of stitching inspirations. Stitching is fun, exhilarating and artistic. Once you know your basic hand stitches, you can freely play to your heart's content with pattern and form. Modern Hand Stitching will show you everything you need to hand-stitch with confidence!
