Need to learn to maintain your Featherweight? Thinking about buying a Featherweight and have questions? This is the class for you!

Dave Trebotich and his family of Twice Nice Shoppe have over 40 years of experience in vintage sewing machine restorations, sales, service, parts, and maintenance/repair classes. Singer Featherweights are their favorite.

In this four hour class you will learn how to inspect, adjust, and lubricate your machine. You will learn how to handle thread jams, and learn about attachment parts that are available for your model. You will also have an opportunity to purchase direct from Twice Nice Shoppe any replacement parts and accessories you feel you must have.

Many wonderful design possibilities can be made using Laura’s 20-degree wedge ruler. Don’t be fooled by the look of complexity. These quilts are surprisingly easy, not to mention fun to make!

Laura Nownes will be teaching her pattern using the 20 degree ruler.  This is the same class she has taught at Asilomar just a month ago!  Laura will be holding 4 sessions on Tuesday evenings which gives you time to sew and piece between each session.

Twisted Roses Quilt Class (2 full-day sessions)

Make a lap-sized quilt with layered flowers featuring raw edges and soft texture, OR
Make a quilt any size you need using the French Roses as your starting point. 

Sew it traditional right out of the clever Heather
French pattern, OR
Make take a fun panel, an interesting textile, or create a collage and build a dynamic quilt with a focal point and roses as companions, OR
Create something entirely unique combining the roses and your vivid imagination 

Margaret and Alethea will be there to share ways they have used the French Roses as a starting point for very creative and unusual quilts. 

These two exciting teachers specialize in raw edge collage work and can guide you to achieving your creative vision in this fun two-day workshop. 

You don't have to decide in advance exactly what you'll make. You can develop your project as the class progresses.
